Ok, how do we get this cancelled?

Just completed a 10 hour crying jag after viewing something hurtful. It showed a person sharing his lineage (with a degree of pride- not denial) of being a descendant of the original klansman- Nathan Bedford-Forest. How can this happen in this country?

We need the movie Forest Gump canceled.
We need Tom Hanks cancelled. All his movies should be removed and make sure he never gets a job again.
Tom Hanks need to pay reparations to everyone he damaged through his hateful promotion of the KKK. Perhaps rfenst can cook up class action lawsuit while he is cooking in the hot tub?

How do we get this ball rolling?

I’m about to break down again.

Take a vehicle and attempt to run a government controlled entry control point with popup vehicle barriers. (complete with armed personnel)

If you survive the crash, jump out of the vehicle with the weapon of your choice.

Began yelling a catchy phrase like Allah Akbar or death to infidels.

Problem solved.

Change your pronouns to sher and shim, then change your name to terry.

That should do it.

I agree with 8trackdisco, how could woke Hollywood make a movie where the main character was a proud descendent of Nathan Bedford-Forrest. After all Nathan Bedford-Forrest was a Democrat that the modern leftist Democrat loves to loath.
He was a slave owner and slave trader in his young days, he was even a gambler and made a vast fortune. In the war he was the only soldier that started as a private and rose to General. He was nicknamed the "Wizard of the Saddle" as he was the most feared Confederate officer by Union forces. Even the Northern butcher, General William Tecumseh Sherman who waged total war on civilians (men, women, children, black, white, red, it didn't matter) named Forrest “that devil Forrest” and called for his death “even if it takes 10,000 men and bankrupts the Federal treasury.”

You would think that should be enough evidence there to cancel anything associated with his name.
But no, he was also the leader in 1867 of the early KKK when there was much hatred for the radical Republican Yankees who were always plotting political dominion over the South. Never mind that Forest resigned from the KKK in 1869 and even tried to disband it.
Never mind his last speech was given to the Pole-Bearers Association, an organization of blacks devoted to equal rights for all citizens. He called for the advancement of the black race and peace and harmony between black and white Americans. He said, “I came to meet you as friends, and welcome you to the white people. I want you to come nearer to us. When I can serve you I will do so. We have but one flag, one country; let us stand together. We may differ in color, but not in sentiment. ... Go to work, be industrious, live honestly and act truly, and when you are oppressed I'll come to your relief. I thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for this opportunity you have afforded me to be with you, and to assure you that I am with you in heart and in hand”

None of that fits the cancel culture narrative. Cancel culture requires simple minds with a simple minded view of history and culture. It requires total war on the truth and free speech with whole bunch of hate thrown in.
So how is it that Forest Gump and Tom Hanks haven't been cancelled?:-k

On another note, what did Tom Hanks do to have you knuckleheads try to cancel him?

He must be lefty or something.

Is the parlor crowd going to start doing their own cancellations? No more super stars, either you're a rapper or a country singer... no in between.

You either watch hoops and football or watch nascar and hockey, no in between.

Where each side cancels each other's stars.

The next couple years should be fun.

Many have been canceled for less. Was shutting off the tv as Forest Gump was starting. 10 minutes in was the NBF share of the story. Rick Gervais took shots at many lefties at his last awards presentation, Hanks was aghast with Hollywood horror on his face.

If George Washington named schools have to go down, shouldn’t an actor, playing a role as being the prodigy of the originator of the KKK not get........ hung, out to dry?

an actor portraying a bad person from history (and evidently this one repented) is not playing himself.
Someone has to play the role of Hitler if there is a movie. That is not the same as revisionist history praising the scum.
Might even be more of a test of the actor's skills.

I'm actually looking forward to left/right cancelations.

Should be fun to watch... though I don't really get it at a fundamental level.

Basically I just have a hard time figuring out why people gaf.

Admittedly, I do find it entertaining though.

The fatal flaw in woke culture is there is no room for redemption.

Personally, I'm so fed up, I'll consider voting for a Republican for president for the first time since 2000.

Pendulums only go so far in one direction until it has enough, gains momentum, and goes the other way.

This will eventually swing the other way, in the ballot box and in the streets. Trump, in retrospect, may be looked at a decade from now as a moderate.
