Waz up?

I am at the car dealership for an oil change.

Turns out my car might have enough equity that I will be able to trade up from a 2020 base model to a 2021 special edition Honda Accord Sport with leather and sunroof, etc., etc. for even less than my current payment!

Might be the same for my wife's and daughter's car too!

This always happens for us with Volvos and Hondas.

Apparently there is a major shortage of microchips so new car sales are slow and they are"dumping what's on the lot. At the same time, there is a major shortage of used Hondas in the market.

So, we'll see what happens...

Do it!

Silencerco Octane 45 is what I got. But I sold my threaded USP before it came. I thought my PX4 was threaded. Didn't check... now I have a can without a host.

I've shot a rugged obsidian, liked that one too.

Do it now, be 8-12 months till you get it.

As much as I would love one (and if I do get one, I will hit you up for the info), I am not sure the occasional javelina would justify the expense...

Guess you'd have to hunt more javelina then. Problem solved.

I hear you. I got a letter form my dealership about nearing the end of my 60 month payments and they could get me into a new model for $25 less per month, same terms. Just shows you they are making more on the financing side than the sales side... I said no, looking forward to no car payment for a little while.

I've got a 10 year old kia optima... been paid off for a couple years and the no car payment is amazing... the engine is nearly new and has a lifetime warranty with kia, even if the car changes owners...

But the kids and dogs are getting bigger, so a monthly car payment attached to a minivan is likely in the near future...

Ownership has it's advantages. For us, we drive so little (me- 300miles/month; wife- 800/month; and daughter-600/month), leasing is cheaper over time for us than ownership because ourr cars are worth more than we owe on them so we still build some equity similar to long term ownership. YMMV...

Got an offer of a high trade-in on my Civic for a new upgraded model. Tempting, but I only have 28k on mine.

I’m keeping my pickup till it falls apart (gonna try to keep that from happening). The price on used pickups is outrageous......

I prefer no truck payment. Had I kept the ecodiesel I'd be there already. Ahhhh, well... I like the Hemi. Hopefully it keeps for awhile.

Had a dealer call me a while back about the Rav4. Said he could meet or beat my current monthly payment if I traded it in for a new model. Told him he has a deal and my current monthly payment is zero. He failed to follow through on his offer

^That's awesome!

My son gets it. When we went shopping for his car last year he had zero emotional attatchment to any specific car, could give 2 sh-ts about bells and whistles... he wanted something to drag his happy ass from point A to point B.

No car payments is the way to be. Cars just do not hold any cachet as long as it's big enough to be safe, move my scrap around and quiet I'm happy.

I do want to replace both our gasoline vehicles with electrics as soon as they are a little more practical and before our existing vehicles are worthless. I do believe the end of gasoline vehicles is coming and I do not want to be holding a white elephant.

Gene, it is coming. My Liquid gets a little over 500 miles per charge. When a 30K vehicle can do that I think it's game time. Plus Ford is putting a bundle in R&D.

Save half of car payment money when it was payed off. After words when it becomes just a piece of sh*t, junk it, and the cash you saved, buy anything you want.

Like horses in the old days, just shoot them, and get another.

Be wary of bling, wish I had that. Their just trinkets or pleasure.
