Go big or go home. We were going through the same decision last fall. Had my doubts, but with some (surprising) encouragement from Mrs Beach, moved the 50" plasma to the family room and ended up with an 82" in the man cave. That combined with the sound system I spent a few years acquiring and I never have to go to a theater again.

Full sound system is in the plan too...
Just gotta be ready to pull the trigger on a whole, big package of stuff to include an extending wall mount and a wood table for underneath where the tv is going to be mounted on the wall. Wife insists on shopping for that with me because she thinks I have horrible taste in furniture decorating. Then she said something about calling our last interior designer and I had to tell her "No Fvcking Way" that's going to happen. She got the point and we are going shopping for the table this weekend, new TV or not.

Early or late, coffee's a required part of a balanced breakfast

Another round of shake ups in the office. Off to report to another new leader. 3rd leader in 4 years.

At least I still have a job.

I keep looking, they had a fair price on an 82 inch, but it's hard to replace a perfectly good working 60 inch that we have. I suppose I could use for a desktop monitor... hummm.

Feel like I'm slumming... my TV's are old and since I canceled cable I've been watching YouTube tv on my 17" laptop.

52" Sharp Aquos in the living room... at least 8-10 years old. 37" Vizio in the man cave... older. Neither of them "smart".

^ Just run an HDMI cable from your computer to the TV.
Make sure to run a fan on the computer.

Hey, is YouTube TV commercial free?

Good Thursday Morning!

Up early, met with a plumber, got an estimate for repairing a couple of leaks in the lift station discharge line, $940, not cheap, but my back says, "Heck yeah!"

Yes! HDMI works very well.

YouTube has all sorts of adds, but there are several good add blockers.

I have the HDMI plugged in already, just never use it.

No... YouTube TV is not commercial free. But you can speed through them on your recorded stuff.

We reached 100 for the 1st time this year yesterday. It felt pretty good on the golf course. On the bright side (discounting for global warming) there should only be about 110 more such days until it cools off.

The biggest and best tv in my house is a 40" plasma 1080P. My son is a store manager at Best Buy and I can pick anything I want up on the cheap. Just haven't felt the need.

I do have a really old 1080P projector in the garage I guess but it is prolly a decade old or close to it.
