Welp... Tank got bit on his ear at the dog park. Bigger german shepherd got him. I was talking to a couple other people, but the other dog's owner (well, his mom) was watching. She said they were playing fine for a bit and then the other dog just bit him, good.

Of course he got pissed and went after her, but we got them separated before anything happened. He's at the vet right now. We went straight there. He's going to have a small piece of his ear cut the rest of the way off and have it cauterized.

Gave my number to the lady who texted it to her son. He texted me and said if I need anything, to let him know. Texted him a picture of the Vet bill - $700 and asked if he was cool splitting it. He already Venmo'd me his half of it.

Poor little guy. I'm heartbroken for him. Head liner in my truck is a little blood spattered from when he shook his head, but the rest of it cleaned up fine. Thankfully the back seat has a doggie cover. Those tiny droplets are not going to come off the headliner, so I ain't even gonna bother.

Poor Tank. You'll have to teach him the tooth. Bite first. Bite hard. No mercy

Can't do that... he's mostly pittie. If he got into it, that'd be his death sentence. I'm actually glad when he went after the other dog he never bit, he just yapped and snapped, no bites.

Think he's gonna be wearing the cone of shame for a week... poor puppy dog. 😞

Hope tank is ok.

I bet you can get the blood out of the headliner if you approach it right. Any ideas DanM?

Did ya check da fuse? The blower will run but the condensing unit won't run without 220... 😟

I can turn it off, wait a bit, turn it on and it'll cool for about an hour. But then the compressor eventually unloads confirmed with amprobe and continues to run the compressor fan.

I dont think the compressor failed.

I suspect it's a freezing/airflow issue at the evaporator. Makes sense that the heat has been troublesome and now AC as well. If the heat exchanger evaporator assembly is covered in dirt, it's gonna restrict airflow, cause overtemp conditions with heat and freezing with AC.

HVAC dude coming Monday. I dont really know how to get at the evaporator core. And I'm not interested in finding out. Basement is still comfortable. I gotta throw my window unit in the bathroom to dry out the drywall mud though.

My dog's been wearing the cone for 5 years. She obsessively bites the fur and skin off her arms. I've taken her to the vet twice for it, they offered sedatives or cone.

She likes the cone like most dogs with their collar. If it's off, she nudges it with her nose and whines till it's put back on.

She grows cysts in her skin, I think that's why she goes after her arms. Every few months I open the ones I can find, drain and flush em out. But then she grows more. She can go without the cone for a while after I drain the big ones. But she still prefers to wear it regardless.

He was HATING it. He's still whining, but the ear has got to be burning. I took the cone off, but if I am not watching him it's gonna have to go back on. Poor guy.

Maybe if you put it on and show him that's it's nothing to be worried about.

Lead be example, Alpha male.

Put the cone on and tell him you’re from France.

My folks asked me to get them whipped cream from instacart... after the order showed up, they brought us a flat of strawberries from the strawberry stand... but the whipped cream is for them, not us... I personally would've liked a little advanced notice so I could've gotten my whipped cream supply in order...

So I made a sponge cake, sent them a picture, and I'm holding their half for ransom until they bring me some whipped cream...

If you depress the contactor in the outside unit and the compressor starts then it's either the contactor or the thermostat.. a dirty coil would cause a freeze-up.. but it's prolly a good idea to get it cleaned anyways.. 😟
