Theoretically, the higher the global minimum corporate tax rate around the world, the less incentive American corporations have to shift their profits to overseas countries with lower corporate tax rates. Also theoretical is that a raise in the rate makes it more worthwhile for foreign corporations to do business in the U.S.

Realistically, governments cheat and lie, the biggest actors will find a hundred ways to circumvent a global corporate tax floor and leave the smaller players, more importantly, their people in poverty.
