I got something growing in my feet after working up there. That unit is kept at 80+ AND the nurses are all wearing jackets AND some are wearing blankets around them while sitting.... which is all they seem to do. So gddamn lazy.
I went through 5 liters of ice water trying to stay cool. Definitely didn't pee it all out either. Soaked through my socks, asscrack sweat showing through my scrubs. No tshirt underneath either and long pitstains down my sides.
Then morning report is ridiculous, they treat the floats like chit. They give you the worst patients, so the next shift you're not handing off to one or two people - your team has to be split up cause it's too rough. And they all ignore you, some will get report on the rest of their patients and then start working and you have to find them to handoff. But all you get is a name, so you got no clue who "carol" is.
I HATE that place. There's a reason nobody stays longer than 6 months there.
