My resting heart rate is around 60. BP at the doctor today was 122/80. PA said my lungs sound great. I'm fkn baffled.

They gave me a rescue inhaler to try. Didn't do anything for me.

Really dreading going to work tonight. Getting floated to the all-covid unit or the horrible imcu that they've never been able to staff. Either one, not looking forward to it. At least if not covidland I can keep the beard.

I got something growing in my feet after working up there. That unit is kept at 80+ AND the nurses are all wearing jackets AND some are wearing blankets around them while sitting.... which is all they seem to do. So gddamn lazy.

I went through 5 liters of ice water trying to stay cool. Definitely didn't pee it all out either. Soaked through my socks, asscrack sweat showing through my scrubs. No tshirt underneath either and long pitstains down my sides.

Then morning report is ridiculous, they treat the floats like chit. They give you the worst patients, so the next shift you're not handing off to one or two people - your team has to be split up cause it's too rough. And they all ignore you, some will get report on the rest of their patients and then start working and you have to find them to handoff. But all you get is a name, so you got no clue who "carol" is.

I HATE that place. There's a reason nobody stays longer than 6 months there.

Bro, you need to work somewhere else that treats and/or pays better, or get and advanced nursing degree- like in cardiac intensive care or anesthesia. You are too smart and too hard working for that kind of b.s. to be a part of your work-life. Just sayin...

Yes, they'll be happy to have you work yourself to death, then step right over your dead body to hire someone else. This is especially true for nursing.

Beautiful 70 this morning for the walk but headed for 100 later and most every day the next 3-4 months unless hell freezes over. This is why I am up about 4:30 each day. Only good thing is the RH is single digits for a good part to it.

Happy long weekend you worker types.

It's not because of Leo, though... it's because Leo works for the company everyone loves to hate (with good reason). They don't hate Leo... they hate the cable company and they take it out on poor Leo.

Leo can take it. He loves big storms, where he can tell them their service won't be restored for a month or more.
