Took the dog to the park. Had breakfast. Took the dog to buy beer... then took the dog to drink a beer and eat a burger in Old Town.

Old Town Pub gives him a treat and a bowl of water. I gave him some fries and a bite of my burger. He's only a teenager (17 months) so no beer for Tank. He's such a good dog. Lays at my feet and chills. If someone wants to pet him (um, everyone does) he's social and even gives doggie kisses.

At least 5 ladies stopped to pet him. Bartender chick gave him the treat ……..

Just the beer and the burger. Had the dog with me. Don't want him tellin' momma.

He's loyal, but he kinda likes her, too... don't want to risk it.

Old movies review.

Rita Haworth in Gilda.
Quite racy for 1946.

I feel an insult in there, somewhere... like... he's got a new dirtbag? I dunno.

But yes, Frankie... I think both of us won the lottery. He's a great dog, and he now has a very privileged life.

He's brown, too... so double bonus! (Lord, I apologize for that...)

Yessir... he was obviously cared for initially. He was in good health and already neutered, so somebody spent $$ to get that done.

Animal control found him on the street. No collar, no chip... filthy, with the tip of his tail taped and bloody. I was the first one to see him sitting in the drop off. Staff hadn't checked him, washed him or made a "kennel card" for him yet.

Not sure if I told the story yet (I'm sure I did... I'm old and forgetful already). I asked one of the staff to make his card so I could get the number for adoption. I was volunteering and was in 2 hours before the public. My application to adopt him was in 5 minutes later. He came in Sunday night, I was there Monday morning. I was back with toys and treats Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Picked him up Saturday December 5th.

When they walked him out from the back, as soon as he saw me he pulled on the leash right toward me. He was like... "That's my dude!"

He was a wild, 9 month old, 50 lb ball of muscle. No boundaries. He is now a calm, well mannered 59 lb ball of muscle with rules, boundaries and limitations. Vet says he is ideal weight, great teeth, ears, no parasites, and a happy boy.

Read three dog training books and we've learned together. Regulars at the dog park marvel at his transformation from day 1 (ignoring me and running amok) to now.

Wifey didn't want a dog... she loves him. Kisses me goodbye every morning, then kisses him. lol

55-65 mph winds with a storm. Heard a crash. Lightning struck the 100 plus year old oak tree above our house. Fell down at an angle missing the house, covering the yard, and blocking 3/4 of the street.

A near miss blessing. 🙏

Happy Tuesday fellas.

Got the er bill for passing out. $3800. But they did give me an employee discount of $1k.

And the Dr visit after: $370.

Going in tomorrow for an echo, and Friday for a month long heart monitor. That's gonna be a few grand more too.

Guess I gotta keep working that overtime.
