Had two sweet gum trees in the front yard. Evil bastids that dropped seed pods year round. Spikey golf ball sized seed pods by the hundreds. Was ecstatic to see them go.

Man, what a day. Sandy decided she wanted a small greenhouse, that she would design it, and we should build it. I learned 2 facts today. I have 0 masonry skill. Bricks hate me, meh, get in line. I am dreading tomorrow, but a promise is a promise. Plus I have learned that pissing of a female Viking warrior is bad juju. I think when the glass glazing part come I will be humbled mightily.

LOLZ, thankfully it is small! If it was large my next post would be her posting when my funeral was!

I planted an ash tree in my front yard 20 years ago. The tree the landscapers planted got damaged by a weedwhacker and died. 😰

Anyway... that tree shades the whole front of my house and cuts down on cooling costs. I've had an arborist come to trim it twice, to keep it from touching my house or the neighbors house. It's a beautiful tree, but it drops a ton of leaves and the roots are pushing up a part of my walkway... but I don't regret planting it.

I put about a dozen ashes in the back yard about 35-40 years ago. They flourished until about 2 years ago when the ash borers arrived. They are dead or dying now. I will not miss the little ton of leaves they dropped in the fall or the branches and twigs that fall down every week. I'm not looking forward to cutting the dead ones down.

Another multi line storm. Gusts up to 90 mph.

Whole family sleeping in the the basement tonight.

Friend of mine who works for the CAT department said tonight could be very bad.

Living in interesting times.

Ha! She is 17 years younger than I am, 6'3" tall, toned to the max, and 100% hellcat. She could kick my ass easy. Plus I gave my word. But a good thought Drafter. How are you doing?

I think they tried a few times. Used to do a monthly detailed sweep of the yard. They made good kindling at least. It took a couple years after removal before they gave up for good..... I hope

I told you guys I cracked my bean on the bottom of my buddy's pool on 4th of July, yeah?

Anywho... went to the chiropractor today because my neck was still buggin' me. 3 weeks later, man! Chiro tells me what I did was very similar to whiplash. Made sure I had already been seen for xrays... told him CT scan was good, so he did my adjustment and cracked my neck for me.

Also told me if I was in the NFL I'd still be in concussion protocol and the dizzy spells may last another week or two.

Did not realize how bad it was. Wasn't dizzy at all until a few days ago. Today was much better. Just have to watch how fast I get up.

Up and outdoor a 5 miler into 87/103. A friend's grandson who is crazy about classic cars is having a birthday today so I'm taking him out for a joy ride in the '65 Vette.

After that we are headed for the hills for a few days.

Good Thursday Morning! It's a little warmer today, 77° on the way to 91°, still not bad temperatures for the end of July.
