Yeah, peddling is better. Had a good bike week. Four consecutive days of peddling, 32+ miles. Get a feeling of accomplishment. Yearly physical coming up in a week or two. Be nice to have the cholesterol numbers in line.

I musta pizzed my wife off today ‘cause for some godawful reason, she’s watching the CMA Summer Jam. She knows how I feel about today’s “Country” music, yet she tortures me with this show. Argh!

Well, screw it. I’mma go grab me a seegar, head on out to the garage and finish up the remnants of the Lemon Peel Li Hing Mui Moonshine in the outside refridge.

I'm always amused by the number of peeps looking for a close parking spot at the gym.

Not a problem for me as I walk to the gym every morning. All you have to do is re-name your toilet :"gym". I expect to lose 15 pounds by the end of this year.

Swam 1,000 yds. yesterday with hand paddles, pull buoy and some fins. Worked upper and lower body hard. Taking today off.

Heading to Walmart for some produce, then on to Costco and Publix later today or tomorrow.

Looking forward to a nice, long weekend alone with my wife again (as my son is out of town). She's taking Monday (Labor Day) and Tuesday (Rosh Hashana) off.

Went to Costco last night to pick up a brisket to cook for Rosh Hashana. They had ONE flat cut, and it was nearly $12/#. This thing was a bit larger than I needed, but it was $94! That size used to be about $60, and there were always smaller ones in the $35-$45 range... Thanks 'Rona.

For the same $, I could get the full packer cut , but have to break it down myself. I've done it a few times before, but it's 30 minutes of trimming and I am not sure I want to do it this weekend.

Butcher guy said "come back Saturday" when they should have more flats. Maybe more selection of "small family" sized flats to save me some time.

Wife made a homeowners' insurance claim for a single lost diamond stud earing. It was worth more than a complete new set of same or better quality, larger pair, of diamond studs for $350 less at Costco! Less than the one diamond appraised for and we get to keep the other diamond stud too. Win-Win (to me). I just cannot understand some women's emotional connection to certain pieces of 100% replaceable jewelry. Can you guess where we are going tonight?

I had a college friend who considered himself "defeated" if he couldn't get a great parking spot. Like it was a competitive game sport to him. We would spend so much time looking for his "great parking space" that it sometimes exceeded the entire time we spent in the store we were going to. Used to drive me crazy!
