The Last Picture Show (1971).

Poignant might be the word.

Brief moments of fun in an otherwise hopeless place.

Doesn’t do a lot for small town, Texas tourism.

The Doughnut King on Hulu

An interesting story of Cambodian refugee Ted Ngoy who built a multi-million dollar empire of doughnut shops and helped hundreds of other refugees get to this country and become successful. It also covers Ted's human frailty, gamboling.

Ted's story is one of fate, love, survival, hard knocks, and redemption. It's the rags to riches story of a refugee escaping Cambodia, arriving in America in 1975 and building an unlikely multi-million-dollar empire baking America's favorite pastry, the donut. Ted sponsored hundreds of visas for incoming refugees and helped them get on their feet teaching them the ways of the donut business.

Silence Patton: First Victim of the Cold War.

Wild stat.

-Germans who surrendered to the Americans, 98% survived their captivity.

-German survival when taken prisoner by the Russians- 25%.

In 1945, the Germans should have heeded Horace Greeley's advice.

About 6 episodes into NCIS...I just can't. I'd rather watch the A-Team or MacGyver...I have no idea how a show like that is still on and has that many spin-offs...I can't imagine any of them being any better.

Started a show on Netflix...Unbelievable.
