I'm packed and ready...

met a guy yesterday at a shiva call, said he had the covid eight months ago and nearly died. Said he lived, I had no reason to doubt him, but lost all sense of smell but just some sense of taste (prolly cuz of smell I guess)
but recently was able to identify chlorine and vinegar.
Been using an experimental recovery kit of essential oils, his doctor said try it cuz no one knows what's happening with all these smell problems.

Certain smells are gone for me 8 months later.
Can't smell gas from the stove, among many other important fragrances.

Tangerines have tasted like fried onions the past few months

Thank Mercy I can taste most things again.
I was on cheap cigars for the first few months because there was no difference.

If I smoke more than a few cigars a day even the best can taste like an ashtray

I figure it's evidence of active antibodies.

I could see if Drafter and Frankie can scare you up a gall bladder.

My ‘Rona daughter does organ transplant routing but that’s legit and she does mostly heart, lung, liver, and kidneys.

why do some foods smell like they taste when you burp after eating them, but other foods don't?

Wife hasn’t regained much sense of smell since the end of February. Takes some of the fun out of farting.

I am now chastened for making light of the OP....my son told us he tested positive for COVID...said he got worried when he smoked a cigar and said he couldn't taste or smell the smoke...odd that he was still tasting food and drinks...
