Minus medical conditions, they are all personal choices not to give. I’ve given a few gallons over the years, most recently in November and will probably continue to. If they would pay people, they’d get more blood. Apparently they don’t need more.

FWIW, we had both Red Cross and Sheppard Blood, I heard al sorts of stories about both, so what, most of it is an excuse not to donate.

When my son was born the birthing wasn't without incident. Later, the surgery went bad and she needed three pints. Pledged to give a gallon for every pint she needed. Achieved that. Not sure what my total is at.

Maybe the Red Cross sees is like sex. If you can get it for free, why pay for it.
