To be frank, Frank, I only learned because nobody actually mentioned why in the first couple dozen posts. Bastids made me do my own research.

Definitely some twisted irony in anger over comments about the Holocaust in a discussion about Naziish acts in TN. Banning is just a couple letters from burning. Though many parents tend get a little fascist when it comes to there kids. Mom still hasn't given me back that Ratt cassette.

And on another pressing note, Dammit, Rman!!! I said no Whoopi in Wars!!!

Agree with you, Sun. Banning being next to burning. We all have our own biases. As parents we do tend closer to autocratic leadership. Protecting kids from what we see as evil or not age appropriate. Not always pretty but necessary.

Kids are more untethered to parents now than ever. Although it could be considered anecdotal, data suggests there is more depression and suicide now in children than in prior generations. More internet parental fascism, at least in the most formative of the formative years would help.

That genie is out of the bottle and too many parents are too busy to notice- they are staring at their phones.

All I know is that I really like pie. Is there Jewish pie? If there is, I bet I would like it.

I don't disagree with your point, 8, and see no issue with one parenting their own child as they see fit. Except for that Ratt album. They only said b1tch in one lousy track!

Anyway, once you go beyond being engaged in your child's life and made yourself the authority on what should and shouldn't be accessible to a community as a whole, you've crossed a line that shouldn't have been crossed

Was that the bartender chick with the dreads on Star Trek?

I'm actually fairly outraged on the book banning aspect. It's all serious subject matter in spite of the comic format and animal characters (Jews/mice, Nazis/cats, Polish/pigs, etc). Readers should be old enough to handle the atrocities depicted and therefore old enough to deal with nudity and foul language.

As long as whoopie doesn't burn her bras, I'm OK with it.

I can't think of Jabba without getting a little stiffy.

I like to think it's Pricess Leia's outfit.

Gawd, I hope it's that.

Made it all the way to the last track and she gave me that You're in Trouble look. I decided I'm Insane for trying to pull one over one her and now I'm a Wanted Man. Honestly though, no warning label is just a Lack of Communication. I don't think I'll ever get that cassette Out of the Cellar
