I'm glad I got hit with an unplanned near-emergency remodel of our "old" bathroom last year. If not, it still wouldn't have been done.
I actually preferred that it happened that way because my planned projects take me forever. Urgent repairs I tend to see through start to finish. Non urgent things like that I lose interest, plans are open and constantly change. I spent 5 years building our 2nd bathroom. This one took me about 3 months.
I need to do the kitchen, but that really needs to be fully planned out with cabinets, flooring, sink, etc in hand before I start doing any demo. It's the last room in the house with no exterior insulation.
