24. 36 for a high today. Warmest day of the last seven. Still 10 degrees below average.

Everything bagel, couple of eggs, sausage, hash browns and coffee.

Exchanged a few text with Bloody Spaniard. He asked me to say Hello to the good people and the people who like(d) him.
They don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Beautiful morning in the desert after yesterday's rain. Cool 53 and sweet smelling air. Went 6.7 miles and 14,000 steps. The wildflowers are blooming.

I'm totally ready for spring to get sprung.

Forecast for the next week or so is lows in mid 30's and highs in the low 50's with on and off rain most of the days. As the saying goes: April showers bring May flowers.

So I sent the builder in FL a message about their homes, asking for information a few days ago. Since I got no reply from them, I called.

Apparently they are not allowed to "solicit" or even provide me information unless I get a realtor. Some BS California law.

So... I either have to get a realtor to work on my behalf (funk that) or a relative or friend in the area, or go down there and do it myself. Looks like I may be flying to Florida soon. *sigh*

My buddy Brad lives in Jax. I'll have to make a trip to visit him so we can go get sh*t worked out... need to pick house, lot, upgrades, put a deposit...

Just makes me want to leave CA even more than I already did... and I didn't think that was possible.

I can see a possible angle if buying in CA, but legislating how info can be obtained by your residents looking out of state seems dumb

Lady told me the 2 states most people are moving out of... CA and NY... have these laws in place.

Another reason on the list of reasons to say "F--- You" to CA. And ya know what I love the most? The state of CA will have to pay me my pension through CalPers... and they won't be able to tax it.

God, I can't wait to do that last tax return... in the memo on the check to the CA Franchise Tax Board I'm gonna write "Eat a bag of d*cks".
