Yeppers....
I'm trying to do it remotely over the phone and I can't see the other end. If it's a software thingy and I can do TeamViewer, it's a bit easier as long as they can get on the internet. Hardware issue... it's painful. Then there's Dad in the background adding his part of it.
Me: Let's start again... do you have it plugged in? Is the power strip on?.... is the monitor connected?
Her: I think so, but there are so many cables behind the desk.
Me: Follow the cable to the power strip from the computer.
Her: There are 2.
Me: 2?
Her: Yeah, computer and the TV.
Me: You don't have a TV in your home office.
Her: The TV that is connects to the computer.
Me: ... no Mom... it's the monitor but we'll call it a TV for now. Is the TV connected to the computer.
Her: Yes in the HOM1 connection.
Me: sigh you mean HDMI.
Her: OK, I don't have my glasses on, I also have some stuff connected to the U5D.
Me: Uhg... USB that's totally different than... fug... Let's go back to the start...
This is what I feel like... fast forward to about the 1:00 mark of this Fawlty Towers skit
