New York state officials this week announced that two new omicron subvariants, dubbed BA.2.12 and BA.2.12.1, have become the dominant forms of the coronavirus in the central part of the state. For weeks, infection rates in central New York have been at least twice the state average, according to data from the state health department.

Yeah all the "woke" states are getting surges while the states with common sense are fine. Go figure

If I get the sniffles again will the government give me free money? Spring allergy season in on the horizon... errr I mean COVID 2022 is on the horizon.

I might have to wait until the government and the pharmaceutical industry tells me that a new pandemic is here and I'll have to mask up and shelter in place. I just want to do what is right... it's my patriotic and civil duty to flatten the curve and stuff.

On an unrelated a side note... Ginger snap cookies and a tall glass of cold milk go well together. Just sayin...

I prefer them a little softer but I didn't get them out of the oven in time so they are a bit crunchy. Not a bad thing, just would prefer them to be a little softer.

All in the Family... bestest sitcom ever.

Great cast, great characters, and crossed so many boundaries. It would never be allowed to be on TV in today's environment. I don't think modern days folks could see past the symbolism that each character played. Norman Lear pushed the boundaries that we are not allowed to even touch nowadays without the risk of being canceled. Religion, politics, racism, union workers vs business, sexuality... Archie was the brunt of all that "controversial" stuff wrapped into one character to an extreme in order to make a point.

Can you imagine if shows like All in the Family, Sanford and Son, Good Times, Maude, The Jeffersons, One Day at a Time were to try to get on TV nowadays. It would never happen.

Not tying to be political, just talking about pop culture (kinda sad that I have to justify that with a disclaimer so some folks don't get wrapped around the axle)

Curious if the recent rage quit dude will surface again. I bet it's eating him inside to not post. An ego like his sits on his shoulder barking at him to jump in until he's able to detox from C-bid

Drifting off topic, this thread is about the COVId thingy.

We are all destined to die from it especially if you haven't masked up and received the last antiviral update. Maybe they can time it with Microsoft's monthly security patch. All we need is to implant a USB port into our arm and get the injection while the latest security update is being downloaded.

We should also give the big phama a ton of cash so they can work on how to disperse the "cure" in a vapor form through the HVAC systems in all pubic and private establishments. That would be really cool.

Not to pull this thread off topic,
But I had some really good smoked ribs today.

You like ribs???

I could go for a rack of ribs right about now.

But if I had some left over ribs they wouldn't last past, say, 9 AM my time. I live with and help take care of an autistic kid (that's not fair to call him a kid, he's 31 yrs old but trapped in a 12 yr old mind and according to the "classification" of Autism he's a level 2 - that's a topic of discussion for another day. The Franking kid is Rainman when it comes to certain topics)

Anyhoo, Steven loves ribs. Don't matter what kind... spare ribs, baby back ribs, St Louis style ribs, short ribs... When I make them, no matter what kind, the are no leftovers except for a few he saves for his lunch the following day.
