Is the idea of insurrection such an abstract to you guys that you don't believe it can really happen? I mean... sure they attacked the Capitol building and used violence to get in, hurt a bunch of cops and tried to get their hands on some of our representatives for what I am sure were purely peaceful reasons. They didn't really mean any harm right? They couldn't have actually hurt our democracy if they had succeeded and gotten what they wanted right? Because what they wanted and how they tried to get it wasn't very democratic.

Rome wasn't built in a day. It also didn't fall in a day. It was chipped away slowly from the inside until it was so rotted that those outside the Empire just decided to take it. In the end you had a bunch of Romans standing around asking each other what the hell just happened? But, by the time they took it seriously...

Allow me to get in before the rush. I didn't vote for Biden, Hillary or Trump. I don't support BLM or Antifa. I didn't support the riots. So stop hiding behind all that crap to make what these people did seem like it was less than it actually was. If I had my way everyone I've mentioned in this post would be in jail or standing against a wall enjoying a last cigarette.
