AC now of course. Growing up in Phx in a three room house on the outskirts of town all we ever had was a window swamp cooler which worked pretty good if you were in that room and the RH was low. Unfortunately, swamp coolers are not effective if the RH is much above 50 so the second half of every summer was always miserable.

Most people had a breezeway or porch that could be used for sleeping and spent as much time as possible under large shade trees. We often slept outside if there was a breeze.

Think this is why my brain is cooked.

Right there with you. I was on the grill for 20 minutes making pizzas and had to shower immediately afterward.

I like the heat, 80-85 is my jam. And being cold is the absolute worst. I can not stand being even slightly cold. But air so thick you gotta chew before you inhale is uncomfortable.

I tried to go back in the garage about an hour ago and even sitting on my rolling stool and just doing light work on the pitbike with a fan blasting straight at me I had to give in and go back in the basement.

Am always running Memory Comps when I think it is too hot.
Remember living in a single wide trailer for a few years as a kid. Mid 90s with high humidity, only broken by loud and violent thunderstorms.

You know you are hot when you are willing to take the 20% chance of a tornado, just to beat the heat.
Stacking bailed hay in the hay mow in August is another memory which won’t leave me.

We are the same with cold. That first September day when it dips below 55, the gloves come out.

I’ll take a low humidity, 85 with a 5 mph breeze. Just enough to help the cigar smoke along on its journey.

Morning, peoples. First in person staff meeting today since early '20. The teleconf version each month has been wrapping up in <2hrs. In person used to take 4 or more. One of my crew said he hopes we don't end up with a staff infection.

70 at 5:00.
Time to hustle the dog out for a shuffle.
Need to get caught up on around the homestead tasks.

Your high is our low today. Kinda muggy 88/101 today as a little front came in last night with wind but no rain. This is the kind of weather that produces violent afternoon haboobs with a wall of dust sometimes fallowed by a little rain.

Ain't nothing honorary about it, but yeah.

Early 1990s we hit 122 but it only felt like 121. I went out and ran a 5 miler cuz I'm stoooped.

Fishing was great yesterday. Drove southwest of San Diego into Mexico waters, found some diving Terns and followed them around. Bluefin tuna every-damn-where. We got 2 of the dumb ones to bite. 😁

Both Art and I landed a personal best sized fish.
