Move over Bee Gees and Staying Alive, you are the dark-side of that decade, whereas Malo's Suavecito represents some brightness from that period...but meeting the girl I was to marry in the late 70's prolly overshadowed that memory.


It's odd that I don't have a favorite song from when I first met my wife in the 70's...

Not a complaint, just an observation.

I love the Kinks, except for the era of Everybody's in Showbiz. Coupla songs were good but the whole thing seemed like yet another time when they were pumping out obligatory crap to finish off contracts. But overall they are one of the most underrated bands ever.

Earliest releasees are still vibrant and copied (Til the End of the Day, You Really Got Me and more) and forward through at least 4 decades, Lola, Victoria, Apeman, Superman...Even the song Hatred from the 90's putting the Davies Brothers relationship to music is great.
