^That's unfortunate, but they're doing it because they know they're gonna get crushed... this gives them the "we didn't play our starters" excuse.

I think the bowls did the right thing given FSU's struggles without its star quarterback over the last few games.

In my mind, I want to see the best matchups that have the best chance of three individually great games.

I am a Michigan fan and am concerned Alabama just might beat them. I believe that FSU would have little to no chance against either of them right now..

And, someone always gets left out...

Suit might force a settlement for lost compensation, but the state should NOT be spending taxpayer money for this.

A lawsuit would be silly. Every team should just apply to join the SEC.

There are only two games that matter anymore during bowl season. Georgia and FSU have many players turning pro, entering transfer portals, or just sitting out their game. Damage is done, time to move on.

I remember years ago Oklahoma State was in the running... most judges/whoever votes ranked OSU 3 to 5.. one judge ranked them like 21 so the average took OSU out of the playoffs... it sucked but nobody cried or threatened lawsuits... just sayin... 😟

Eh………..maybe…….If FSU was full strenght?

Might have been a game.

No idea why the second string QB is sitting, other than ………….mebee he doesnt wanna take 6-8 hard sacks.

Those wideouts will be playing on Sundays.

They are simply protecting their “investment”…
Hmmmm... given my proximity to FSU I could prolly get ya one at the local Ross on the cheap.
Make sure you get him the model with free sneakers or stolen crab legs. (True FSU fans will understand)

FSU was invited to join the SEC in 90 or 91 and declined. Coach Bowden elected to go the ACC route instead.

There's a reason their nickname is "Free Shoes University". 😂

Yeah, am aware of that one. Crab legs?

A day of viewing an orgy of college football today.

When Jameis Winston was at FSU, he was caught walking out of a store with a couple pounds of Crab Legs in his pants….#-o

Winston having crabs sounds about right. He was probably quite popular.

Looks like a watery mess in Orlando for the Avocado (and Fentnyl) from Mexico Bowl.

UGA just poured FSU a hot cup of STFU.

63-3? Largest margin of victory. Breaking their own record.

Georgia's players played. Except Bowers... but they did throw in the backups 2nd half. FSU knew they were gonna get the brakes beat off them so had a whole lotta opt outs... damn shame.

GEORGIA should have been pissed about being left out. They had ONE bad game all year and it was at the wrong damn time.

We see it differently. Here's my perspective.

I'm thrilled FSU had 12, or was it 14? players opt out for one reason or another for the the game. The Bowl Committee made a joke out of the "Power 5" playoff, so FSU made a joke out of the bowl game.

Plus, it gave a bunch of new blood onto the field. Experience for next year.

Go Noles!

I didnt watch…

I knew it would be ugly……..but it was UGLY.

NIL has ruined college sports……..that said………it needed to happen.

Just wish “they” could have figured out a better way to address the situation.

We will see if next year is any better.

a girl once, she made me feel like Winston.

FSU had 29 opt out. The second and third team played. FSU is suing the ACC to leave the conference. Only three bowl games matter. They can cancel the rest.

Even Kirby Smart said it was a travesty. I'm not saying the 29 opt outs didn't matter, it most certainly did. But all of Georgia's players played. Why couldn't FSU's?

You want to make a statement? You play everyone and win.

Because they are a bunch of petulant crybabies. FSU dominated a nothing conference. They didn’t deserve to play in the CFP. The fact that they were undefeated doesn’t matter. It’s like saying Florida A&M should have been in the CFP had they not lost to the mighty South Florida Bulls.

All FSU had to do was win a decisive victory against Louisville in their most important game of the season and the muffed it. If they want to blame someone for not being in the CFP they need to look in the mirror.

That “Nothing conference” had a winning record against SEC teams.

Guess that makes the SEC less than nothing.

Guess I can blame Auburn's loss to Maryland a result of optouts.

Nope, after further review Auburn thought they were playing New Mexico State and got their azzzs handed to them.
