Gonna be a rainy weekend. 🌧️

Started around 11 last night and except for a couple hours this morning, been pretty much rainy so far. Predicted to last till Monday.

We have been having the a similar problem. A very intermittent chirp, maybe once an hour, from one of our alarms that my wife can hear but I can't.

I changed one in the hallway but two more are way up at about 15 feet and it might be one of them although new ones were installed only about a year ago. There are also batteries in the thermostat and it showed they were low, so I changed those out this morning. Waiting to hear iffn the chirping has stopped yet. 🤦

I changed to long life lithium batteries. Not rechargeable, but good for about ten years. The initial cost is higher, but over time they are worth to price. I DO NOT like getting up on a twelve foot step ladder to change batteries. 🤐

Like Gene, seems my willingness to climb ladders is inversely proportional to my age...

Here comes the sun, and I say it's alright...three days of rain in the rear view mirror...next week to 10 days have no rain in the forecast... mostly sunny with highs in the 70's

Gym done, dog walked, coffee and breakfast consumed.
Video chat with the boy in a bit and a hopeful nap in the chair mid-afternoon.

Family coming over for an early St. Patrick’s Day dinner. We cooked the 10 lbs. of corned beef yesterday. Carrots, lettuce and potatoes will be done around 3. SIL making sweet potato pie. Not sure what our son is bringing.

we are also doing a family gathering tonight in honor of St. Patrick...Kelly's father is Irish, no surprise given her name, so this has been a tradition since we met...

I'm making the corned beef, cabbage, onions, potatoes, turnips and carrots...son Darren is bringing corn bread... daughter Lauren is bringing two desserts...

I'm simmering 15 lbs of corned beef (everybody likes leftovers for sammiches) for an hour, then slow roasting the corned beef briskets for another 3 hours, until the meat can be cut with a fork...I find that simmering and then roasting leaves the meat more flavorful than simmering only, and less salty than roasting only...some of the veggies will be boiled in the brisket broth...the rest will be roasted with the briskets...

Looks like NWS says a tornado did touch down in my town. A whopping F-0. There was also an F-1 a town south, saw some roofs ripped off.

I had a few sticks to pickup. And I walked a tarp back to the neighbor. But otherwise no weather issues.

The wifey being of Scando decent they celebrate St. Urho's day which is like St. Patriks without the Booz. 🤦
