Good Thursday Morning to All! It's 87° on the way to 92° today. Final checkup on my knee and hip, declined another shot, I can live with the arthritis and bursitis in the hip... I think.

Wifey and I decided to celebrate our 43rd anniversary at a later date since we can’t figure out where we want to go. But we’ll still enjoy the firework shows tomorrow night.

Mowed. Tired.
This is my fourth season mowing this place and I can't remember a time when the grass was harder to get through.
I'm mowing every 6 to 7 days and there are still stretches I have to mow twice.
It's ridiculous. It's a combination of heat, sun and tons of rain. I'm surprised I haven't broken a belt...

I gave up mowing a couple years ago.. pay one of my neighbors to do it now. I was hesitant at first but it's kinda nice..

I thought you had a couple of goats to take care of your yard. No?

Have a Fifth for the Fourth!

Happy 4th to all. No town sponsored fireworks in my little town tonight, they did them last weekend. Some of the larger cities in the area will be doing theirs tonight.

In MA personal fireworks are illegal but since I live about 15 min away from NH where personal fireworks are legal I'm sure there will be plenty of backyard firework parties going on. Happens every year. Everyone knows this, the cops know this. If the party gets a little loud or there is a complaint to the cops, they will drive by your house slow and "whoop, whoop" or put a car spot light as they drive by to let you know that they are watching so you just tone it down.

After they pass, then go back to shooting them off. Then if they have to drive by again, that's strike 2 - you made the list. If they have to drive by a 3rd time, then they will get out of their vehicle and tickets will be issued. You'll be written up for various violations, stuff will be confiscated and be told "tell it to the judge."

I don't have any personal fireworks this year but in past years, I've had the 2 strike drive by a couple times.

Anyway, Happy 4th to all. Don't blow off any fingers and stuff.

Happy 4th, all! Had a holiday "casualty" in the neighborhood. Group of mysterious figures wandering around with flashlights about 11pm. Came to find out they were in search of their pupper who'd gotten skeered of the noise and scarpered off. Hope he turned up eventually.
