dhofer... you think you're a girl... i got an ass-kicking from an alcazar no. 1 last weekend. i should also point out that a few weeks ago, a buddy gave me an ISOM smoke he obtained. i fired it very slowly and had a buzz throughout, but it wasn't overpowering or nauseating. very pleasant actually.

You can't get a buzz without inhaling, ask Clinton, he can confirm that.

I'm embarrassed to say that I ended up in bed for three hours this weekend after smoking a Cusano Corojo, this after making a big production of sharing a mild cigar with my newbie cigar-smoking friend and cautioning him that corojo was more for seasoned cigar smokers like me! By the way, that Cusano Corojo is sneaky--rich, but very smooth and buttery for a corojo wrapped cigar. Just watch out for its kick.

No, I don't inhale and I know the difference. There's more taste in holding the smoke in your mouth and letting it out slowly (herfin') than in pulling it into your lungs where there's no taste at all. My wife accuses me of inhaling because I exhale some smoke through my nose. When I've tried to explain anatomy to her she accuses me of trying to start something.

Jazzman, believe me, I'd be too embarrassed to admit just how often this happens. And I've been smoking regularly for 20 years! Still a lightweight at heart, I guess.

Damn, guys ... I can think of good reasons to spend 3 hours in bed at a time I wasn't planning to sleep, but I hope it's never to recover from a cigar ... even that Antano didn't kick my ass that bad ... (ok, ok ... it was close ... but since I was 35 miles from home and doing 65 on the freeway, bed wasn't a viable option) ...

Okay, okay, the three hours recovery was indeed a fluke. I have to maintain at least a modicum of pride and self-respect. However, despite being an everyday smoker, I still get knocked about from time-to-time, usually taking the form of moving slightly past the "Gee, this buzz is pleasant" Zone into the "You know, it would have been a lot smarter if I'd stopped smoking five minutes ago" Zone. Only rarely have I pioneered further into the "Malaria would be better than this feeling" region (this weekend was one of these uncommon Zone 3 experiences), and I can't say that I've ever reached that point of the "Hurl and swear off cigars for the next week" domain, which I've heard exists out there.

I HAVE to inhale...I try my best, but DAMMIT!

A few weeks ago, I stood up to go to the antique lighter and after puffing several times while lighting a RyJ, man-oh-man! I got light headed, tunnel vision set in and everything started spinning!

Luckily, I made it back to my chair before passing out! I tried to utter something to my husband and friend, but no words came out...weird!

Forgot to mention that as I lit it, a flame rose and nearly caught my bangs on fire...all this happened in front of 2 SDPD officers. They later commented about it and we had a laugh...
