Now you get to get moved in and find all the things that were just makeshift fixed... remember the Movie the "Money Pit"?? LMAO!!!!! I bought my house 2 years ago after the first 6 weeks I wanted to go find the other Owner and stomp his A$$... things I found in that length of time were Amazing... I think the person who did the Inspection on the place for me was Related to him LOL... One instance I had two different hook-ups for my dryer.. and that was another option on why I liked this place, when I got moved in and set up to do some laundry I washed a load of Clothes, when I went to dry them... the Electric Dryer I had owened previous wouldn't work... I thought Well ****, so I played around with the cord.. traced it back to the breaker box and there it was... the damn end of the cable was wrapped up and stuffed in the rafter around a bunch of other cables... the Electricion told me the breaker box couldn't hold the amps for the dryer so I had to go buy a new gas dryer... anyone know anybody needing an Electric Dryer BTW??? LMAO!!!!
another thing the Toilet was not bolted down correctly... thats another story I wont go into...

Guys, this is killing me! Every time I think things are all repaired and we're ready to close, something else happens. First there was a dispute over which moisture damaged walls had to be replaced. Then plumbers recaulked a leaking shower, which still leaks. Now, a marble company has to custom fit new trim to take care of the problem. If these things all get fixed it should be a great house, but right now it's driving me batty!

Sorry to talk about something besides the war on the Misc forum, but I have to vent about this!

Hang in there JR. It's just the nature of the beast. Hog is right, you will get ahead of the game eventually allthough there will always be something that needs repair. ( I also spit on the groud every time the previous owner's name is mentioned. outside of course.)
When we were trying to close, I remember getting the umpteenth call from the realtor telling us about the lastest snafu. My wife took it and when she said he wanted to talk to me, I instructed her to tell him to go #%*@ himself. Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed or we would still be in an apartment.

and a great time to buy!...I just refinanced at 5.125%.

Looks like the closing will be on Wed. Wish me luck, everybody (and patience to avoid strangling someone).

The seller still has her car in the garage and a storage shed full of junk. I'm not signing off on the closing till they clear everything out. They claim to understand that, but the stuff's still there. Maybe not getting their money tomorrow will motivate them to get crackin'.
