Hi. i am relatively new to cigars; i have recently begun to enjoy finding what i do and do not like. I have liked Cohibas and Montecristos but the $ is $$$. Partagas are too full. i had a CAO Brazilia but it had a bit of a bite at first then seemed ok. I won a bid on Fidalgos last week and they are sweet. Any advice? Thanks

Your finding it out the right way, Traffic. Then you can take some of your 5 packs and do trades for other cigars. Gets you different cigars with what you have already bought. This place is great.

Traffic. Folks have been spouting off their favorites all the time here. Get a drink and a smoke and just start going down the list. There is no exact list of favorites here since everyone is different. Try reading these.

Welcome TRAFFIC. Do a search. "favorites", "favorite" etc. Click the ones that have those words in the title first. Then bid on some 5-packs. You should do great.

REMEMBER......... BID LOW! Take the time to see what they're goin' for over a couple of weeks and bid low. You'd be surpised at how well you can do. I've got some great deals here at prices below CBid's average by bidding low and letting some slip by.

P.S. It's a good idea to have CI's "Big list of brands" open on another page. Most lots here go for 1/2 to 2/3 their prices. Few go for 75% or more. If they do, then someone's over-bidding.

Aloha TRAFFIC, i am a beginner too and have gone through the same thing you are. everyones advice on trying 5-packs is pretty much the best way but be careful about bidding on too many things just because they look cheap. i tried that and ended up winning a lot more than i thought i would(and some were pretty bad). you might want to try checking out some review sites, that seemed to be pretty helpful to me, although everyone has their own tastes, a description and a rating from more experienced smokers can't hurt. email me if you would like a list of "research" sites i used.

In 1973 a friend and I drove from Chicago to Denver. we had traffic on an 8 TRACK! I Still wake up hearing Low Spark.......how's that for old enough!LOL

One question that's sure to come up as you get more and more into cigars is whether to store your treasures with their cello on or with it off ... either way you decide to go, there will be many of us who feel you're doing the right thing and many who'll disagree with you ...

However, 93% of us agree that if you opt to store them with cello on, you should remove it BEFORE lighting your cigar ... as for the other 7% ... well, you'll find that 4% of us will argue about almost anything and 3% of us don't know what the hell we're talking about much of the time ...
