I would like to see her make the cut, and having said that she will not make the cut. Probably shoot around 150 or so for the two days and fail to make the cut.

Annika's been working hard for this. She is in better shape and just as strong as quite a few of the men. Tiger is in better shape to be sure. I don't think she can play his game on a good day. She doesn't have the length. Her game is razor sharp though! She will make the cut.

I think she may be real deal, and I hope she is. I would love to see her win it. She is a lot prettier than Babe Zaharius, who played against the boyz 50 years ago.

I don't understand the deal. We don't need a PGA and an LPGA. They should just let all of the best golfers try out and the best players are the ones that compete. If it's a man, it's a man, if it's a woman, it's a woman. I mean, it's not a contact sport, right? And they have ladies tees?

I want to see her wear pants just like the men still have to!

She's an excellent golfer, but why are her hands sooo big and isn't that an adam's apple on her neck?

Annika averages 275 yards off the tee! She will outdrive a lot of the guys, but her short game is her weakness. She is not real good in the sand trap play and this is where she will have problems, short iron play around the greens.

DrM, she does have to wear pants. The PGA ruled no shorts. I hope the media will just let her play and practice as much as she needs to. If I were her, I'd find another course to practice and avoid the onslought of well-wishers and media types. All I can say is they ruined one of the best PGA events for 1 yr. My ticket source is worn out with requests. I'll be out there Fri and Sun.

Charlie, I think her biggest challenge is going to be the firmness and size of the greens. Length is not the issue at Colonial. She won't be able to spin the ball enough to hold the tiny greens. The stronger boys (higher swing speeds) that can really spin it have a big advantage. She'll need her A+ short game out of big bermuda rough to keep it in red numbers.

I predict 76 - 72 = 148 and MC.

Good prediction, I believe that she will have somewhere in the 75-78 range on opening day and come back with the 72-74 second day and miss the cut.

I don't understand what all the fuss is about. Sports are supposed to be fun, and this is fun! And what a bonus for the advertisers. The ratings will be astronomical.

I watched her card the 59 in Phoenix. She is maybe better now, but with the attention I don't see her making the cut.

She hand picked this course. If she plays a longer course, she will have a disadvantage even more.

You hit it Mag! I'll be watching too. So will my wife. Big money being made by the Colonial! I'm hoping it's great drama.

I watched the Golf Channel last nite and enjoyed the coverage on the Colonial and Annika, as I have said, I hope she makes the cut but I do not anticipate that she will. Will be highly watched if she does make it and will be good for the game in general.

I have no problem with her playing at all. I think it's pretty cool and Vijay is a pu$$y! However, the guys had to work hard to get there. She should only be allowed exhibition status and not allowed to compete for any placing or cash (on the off-chance that she does that well and maybe this is already the case, I don't know).

I also agree with Robby. It's no contact sport. They should open the game up and let the best person win as long as the standards remain unchanged (unlike the military). What's wrong boys, are you scared?

As for Sean Hannity who wants tit for tat (so to speak) and wants the LPGA open to men, give me a freekin' break! Obviously men are stronger and would dominate there too. Some women, however just might give the boys a run in the PGA.

I too do not have any problems with her playing. She's a great player, and it will definitely add some more excitement to the sport. However, I feel she should have had to qualify, just like the rest of the players.

Either way, it will be interesting.

As far as him being a ****. In what way? Its not because he is afraid of her beating him. He would probably whoop her good 10 of 10 times.

Since she is playing, I think she should get whatever cash she is entitled to, like the guys.

I dont think that allowing women permanently is a good idea though. I will destroy the womans tour.

I don't understand the claim that this means we should let men play in the LPGA. First, it is not the MPGA, it is the PGA. There is no designation that the PGA is only for men. Plus, it is the elite group of golfers, and she wants to test herself against the very best. Seems like the essence of the world-class athlete, in my view. Would a man playing in the LPGA be competing in order to challenge himself against the very best? No. It would just be a political statement, and a lame one at that.

As to her qualifying or not qualifying, I guess I think the fact that she dominates women's golf, has won four majors, once shot a 59...all that qualifies her in my book. Not sure on customs or rules, but my intuitions are that that should count as a qualification.

Finally, I chuckle at all these fat, out of shape men golfers on the PGA tour making a fuss about athletic purity. Get to the gym! Is it any wonder these guys can't come close to Tiger?
