If you live from the carolinas to NY, you must be getting all this rain. For the first time, I am having difficulties regulating my humi's. The hydrometer is showing 78% in my house, and 79% in the humi's. I've put dry credos in and any small pieces of spanish cedar I can find. Any others affected by all this rain.

ditto, also, you can go to Home Depot and get a portable dehumidifyier. The combo of AC and the dehumi seems to bring it back down in to the 60s for me.

That's what I meant Rice. Sorry sleep deprivation was kicking in and I get goofy.

That does bring another question to mind though. Could the fluctuation to high humidity be an indicator that there is a need for more straight propylene glycol in the humidifier device? Just a thought.

Try the climax media in your humidifiers. I just received some for my birthday and they have stayed 69-70% humidity so far and we've had a good dosage of rain too.

I just put them into a travel soap dish, drilled a dozen holes in the lid, add the climax media, add water and your done.

This is the stuff they use in museums to maintain the humidity for items in storage and it works great!

I use the climax beads in all my humidors and coolers. When it soaks up too much moisture to be able to control anymore, you dry them out with a blow dryer. Everything is holding at 70-71%.

Rain isn't the word! We've only has 2 days of sun this month. Luckily my cabinet is in the dehumidified basement kept at 60% max. Maybe look in to getting a room dehumidifier where you keep your humidor, not too expensive.

I'll try the rice until I get the climax beads, my house is 190 years old and I have humi's in 3 rooms, the dehumidifier would probably be a waste.
Thanks for the replies.
