..I was wondering. Do any of you guy inhale cigar smoke? And, if so, how does the smoking experience differ from not inhaling.

Never inhale and I don't intend to. I get all the pleasure of smoking and can detect all the enjoyment the leaf has to offer through the palate and tongue and nostrils without inhaling. However, I won't say "I never inhaled..." because I have and it just about killed me!!

Every so often I French inhale a little bit (sometimes on purpose sometimes on accident) but that is it.

I was at a bar last night and was in the mood for a cigar but had none. A friend gave me a cigarette and I found myself not inhaling it at first through force of habit. I only took 3 or 4 puffs from it tasted like paper to me. I don't know how people can smoke those things.

What is a French inhale??
Sometimes my somke will circulate out my nose..gives everything a bit more taste... Is that French? Maybe we should call that a Freedom inhale

French inhale is blowing it out your mouth and inhaling it in through your nose. I don't know where the name came from.

I say you should go for it! Recommend Perdomo's The Cigar for the trial. Let us know what you think.

I think you should start with an Antano '70 or El Rico.

Seriously. Do You Guys just puff and not inhale? I enjoy the flavors of different smokes but to savor the full experience You have to inhale. I kick back on the deck with My favorite beverage and dig the "buzz" from a nice full bodied Robusto!

I see where a few of you recommended to me that I give inhaling a try. I think I am going to pass on the idea.

Why? Because I seriously think I would end up turning many shades of green and would find myself in a fetal position on the floor wrenching big time due to acute nicotine poisoning.

May have a hard time explaining that to the wife who is already opposed to my new cigar hobby.

Take care all.

I smoked Camel non-filters since I was 15, until I quit cigarettes ... and took up smoking cigars.

I will inhale when I need that extra nicotine ruch ... on ocassion ... but for the most part, I find I don't need to inhale to get the full pleasure out of a fine cigar.

Also, it depends on the cigar. With the fuller bodied cigars I don't seem to have the need (unless I need that 'kick-start')... but the lighter ones, I find myself inhaling more than I want to admit to myself ...

... and that's why my preference is for the fuller bodied cigar! I was trying to get away from inhaling smoke (that's why I switched to cigars in the first place)... but once you have already conditioned your lungs to accept tobacco smoke, it can be very difficult not to inhale ... and very hard not to do it.

Those that don't inhale now ... I would suggest that they don't start. You will get all the nicotine you wll ever need through your mouth and mucous membranes ... LOL!

I highly recommend trying inhaling on the Joya de Nicaruga Antanos................ Talk about a rush?!?!?! That would be a real kick in the head or ass, whichever you prefer.

When I was "new" to cigar smoking, one of our Retail Outlet store managers dared me to inhale a VSG. So, I did, and I almost fell off the bench in front of the store in fetal position.

I love a cigar that is good enough to hold the smoke in the mouth for a while, savoring the taste, then blow it out. Would never inhale, though. Did it once accidentally while working and working in the yard. 'Bout killed me.
