Next week I'll be in San Antonio, TX. Can anyone give me advice on cigar shops and cigar bars/cigar-friendly places? I'll only be there for two days, and what little free time I'll have I don't want to spend searching.

Smoke magazine has a smoke shop finder on its web page. Type in San Antonio and you will find 19 smoke shops for that city.

Goin' by plane this trip. If I'm back out on the road, though, I'll contact you, Tim. You do the same! ....So, 19 shops? Can anyone out there help me narrow the list a little? Know of any good cigar-friendly spots?

Avoid LATIN GOLD cigars- they are made in San Antonio, are overpriced, and they aren't that good (politically correct rendition of what I really mean)

I went to a place called "the Palace" last month that wasn't actually a cigar shop, but was cigar friendly. It wasnt the kind of place youd want to take your family, if you know what I mean.

Been awhile since I've been there, so I don't know of any cigar shops, but I do know WHERE to smoke them. Go the the "river walk" or whatever they call it. It's beautiful and it's outdoors, so I am sure one of the river front bars allow smoking. If not, write to President elect GW Bush. He'll take care of it!
