But you're right, it is a dumb move. I have some knowledge here, this wouldn't work b/c they make you wait 20 minutes with nothing in your mouth anyway. The best thing to do, if you are close, is figure out a way to pop a breath mint or something about 3 mins before the test and tell them after the test starts. Then they gotta wait another 20 mins, which gives your BAC a little more time to keep dropping ( a small diff. but if you are close, it could make the diff between an .08 and a .07!)

Or the cop could slap you upside the head and you can choke on the mint, die and not live with the DUI the rest of your life.

I challenged the law when I was younger, but I was just plain dumb then. Now I have a designated driver, I married her. When the Kids get old enough, they will take shifts too.

And remember, never give them a urine sample! There is only a small chance they will mix it up with some crack-head, but if they do, you are toast. Always the breath-ETOH analyzer.

A 150 lb. man will metabolize about 0.015% blood ETOH per hour. That is if he stop drinking and keeps breathing. Normal kidney function and all, of course.
