Ok, summers here in the SF Bay Area. Been waiting for about a month for the summer weather to get here and then 'WHAM' right upside the head!

Looks like a late night herf. If I survive band rehearsal in the sweatbox we jam in.

Now I'm worried about beetles!! I have a fan blowing on my humis to try and cool them down. I guess this is one of the five days of the year I need AC in SF!!

The benefits of coolerdors is the ability to add a block of that blue ice when temps get high.

105 today in the west S.Joaquin valley today. I was working in Coalinga today. Tomorrow Buttonwillow. Should be about 108 there.

Remember...if you feel tired in the middle of the day...you're not getting enough water.

What I miss about the Bay Area is, when the sun sets..the temp goes down. It's 11 PM here and still 92 degrees.

Dry heat? I'll give you that. 85 degrees in Santa Cruz seems about the same as AZ.

My instrument flight training was at Laughlin/Bullhead in June. Hot! 120 degrees F. one day. First order of biz on a typical training flight... Climb!!! Temperature lapse rate = 2 degrees C/1000 feet. Final cross country flight was to Yuma/HELL! Thank God it was only a touch and go.

Yeah, I remember my first "dry-heat" day in Arizona ... after getting off the plane and learning it was 115 outside, I didn't want to leave the terminal ... then, when I did, I actually made a footprint in the asphalt on the street (and that is NOT a figure of speech) ...

You guys can keep your "dry heat" ... we might be sufferin' now, but the fog bank'll be back before you know it and it'll be sweeeeeeeet once again each eve.

Chris, make sure you isolate it to avoid issues with condensation.

BMW,
I hear ya man! Had to have 3 pounds of freon added to central air. Damn electric bill went thru the ceiling last month.
Don't you just love how the electric company increases rates during the hottest months.

It's 76 in "hot"lanta right now at 12:30 Saturday afternoon 🙂 Atlanta is a wonderful location, it's a generally thriving economey, you get beautiful weather in the spring and fall, winter comes, but it's not harsh, it's Nasty hot, but usually only for 8 weeks or so. We're close to Florida beaches (4 hours) and the mountains (1 hour), Housing isn't cheap, but it isn't outrageous as it can be in some places.
