Congrats! You are very lucky. My Marine brother in-law was in Iraq and last month was put on a ship to come home. A few hours later he and about 15 others we ordered off the ship and told they are going to Kuwait for a minimum of 6 months to "pack up" all the gear left by everyone.

BTW, he and the other were selected because they were not married and did not have any children.

What ship was he put on? That's weird. They brought back everything they took with them....equipment anyways.

I have no clue. He called my father in-law who relayd the info to us. So we are looking for a Christmas with him. It sounded like the troops bugged out rather quickly and he a the others were kept to clean up. That is what he is telling us. His conversations are still monitored, so who knows. Needless to say we were pretty disapointed.

Now, if this ain't some messed up sh*t. I went to the doctor on Monday because I had a bad cough since last friday or so. They said my lungs sound good and gave me some humibid. Well, the humibid didn't work, and I got worse. I went back in this morning, and they decided to take chest x-rays. It turns out I have pneumonia. Doesn't that just suck? I get home in 2 days, and I have pneumonia!

Congratulations...now send all of your 'gars to me...you won't be needing them for awhile...
