Newbie to cigarbid here with a question on how to move around on the site. Is there an easy way to get to my Lot Watch List without either 1) adding a new item onto it, or 2) going through the "Login" screen (even though I'm already logged on)? Thanks!

So far, here is the only solution I've found to this problem.
I log onto the site and click on "Lot Watch List".
Then I open a separate IE window and enter the site again. I keep window #1 on the Lot Watch List and hit the "refresh" button every so often.
Then I click over to the other open window to move around the site and check out the sales.
Its a hassle, but it works. I've sent in a suggestion to the suggestion box that they add more hot links to the Lot Watch List page throughout the site. I hope they do it...
P.S. Sometimes I even open a third IE window to check out the competition or the reviews on the other sites.

No ... you have to log on again (even if ou are logged on to the forums), just as you have to log on again if you want to bid on a lot.

I'm sure this is set up this way for your own protection ...

sure ... I might be a little slowed down or even annoyed by that as I sit at my 'puter and wanna check on a lot ....

but a good example of what Slim is talking about is if I'm at work and have the board open and go to lunch without closing it, no one can play a 'little joke' on me by making a bid for me ...

Wouldn't they need my password to make a bid for me?

statelandman, I've been trying to find a way to easily get back to the Watch List too. I think your idea about a second IE window is probably the best bet. That is what I have always done and it seems to work well.

Another thing I have tried is logging in to CBID then opening your Watch List. Then bookmark that page. You can then surf the rest of the site and click on the bookmark when you want to go back to the account screen. You wont have to log in again, but you will have to click on the Lot Watch List radio button and click the View button. The URL should be in the format:

http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/program/status.cfm?userID=##### 

where ##### is your unique user ID. This isnt your username...it is a unique number that identifies your account.

Because you will always have to enter your password for a bid, no one would ever be allowed to bid on your behalf (unless they know your pwd).
