Why don't cigar manufacturers simply package smokes in a cellophane with an amber yellow tint? It would make the smoke appear well aged, and as we all know IMAGE is everything...

More importantly, WHY would you WANT or even suggest that they do that? One problem that they could have is that if they tinted the cello, it would be a uniform tint and real yellow cello has imperfections. To replicate the imperfections would cost more for the tabacleras to do and probably cost more than printing the bands. Any reputable cigar brand that wishes to maintain a customer base would NEVER try to intentionally mislead their loyal customers anyway.

well wany, the fact is is that 5 Vegas does use yellow cellophane! Personally I think they look ugly and make the cigars look that way as well.

My intent was to gather feedback from smokers, not to suggest ideas to manufacturers. How many times has a cigar on this site been labeled as well-aged due solely to the fact that the cello was yello (yes, it was Donovan and not the Beatles). Anyway, Whiny, when was the last time you actually posted a response that WASN'T either a direct attack or a negative comment?? I realize that since this board has gotten flat that you've had little meaning in your life, but please attack me for the right reasons, such as my taste in cigars, my misdirected approach to humor, or even my newly found right-wing views on government.
