Ted Nugent Takes on the Illinois Governor

Right-minded rocker Ted Nugent has issued a challenge to Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Nugent is ticked off about the state’s laws that prohibit retired police officers from carrying concealed weapons.

Nugent said, “I challenge him to come backstage [during Nugent’s Aug. 11 performance at the Illinois State Fair].” So says the State Journal-Register.

Nugent added: “And let's talk ‘We the people,’ let's talk good over evil, let's talk laws forcing good people to be unarmed and helpless.”

The co-author of “Kill It & Grill It” (a cookbook that has to be a PETA favorite) is shining the strobe light on what Nugent describes as the Illinois governor’s “refusal to stand up for the Second Amendment.”

So far there’s been no response from the governor’s office.

The Left Coast Report has a California-style solution for Nugent’s beef with the Illinois governor. Fire up the grill, put on the feedbag and throw a big ol’ Western-style recall.

It was my pleasure to have listened to his radio show in Michigan when I lived there. It's no longer on the air, but he could go way out there with his hunting(which I respect)tirades, and I thought that he viewed hunting like a religion. He was always advocating responsible gun ownership,seat belt safety,and his own life stories of meeting some of the rock world's brightest stars, but they didn't know what they were doing because of the drugs they were on was testimony to anyone listening about soberity. While he has a "Motor City Mad Man" image to live up to, it doesn't contain drugs or alcohol.

I've had the pleasure to personally meet with him on several occasions and he is cordial and polite. Articulate and not easily swayed from his own opinions. No, he is not Left Wing. Take it back I say, take it back!

Plabonte, if the ordinary citizen is alowed to conceal and carry, why wouldn't a former officer be denied the same right? If anything they'd be more experienced in handling a gun.
