Looks like "Nickel and Dimed". If i'm right it's the freshman summer reading for kids at UNC this year. Some people made a big fuss about it's bad influence, the reason I can't recall. Kinda like last year when people made a fuss because UNC's summer reading was a book about the Koran.

The book is Nickel and Dimed. A research about trying to live on minimum wage. If you've never had to scrounge for pennies, then it is a fascinating book. It's required reading for my daughter when she starts college next week.

Great to see another wife/girlfriend join the club. They don't complain about the smoke that way.

Nevermind, she doesn't start till next week. Pretty sure UNC (like me) started two weeks ago.

My Girlfriend had to read that last year for St. Kates in MN. She hated it. Just thought you should know. Ah yeah and its a play at the famous Guthrie Theatre here in MN. MK

It's Nickled and Dimed - it is a really facinating book which everyone should read. Really makes you appreciate the lower wage worker. Also makes you thankful for what you have.

Yeah, that book is required reading all over the place. My daughter is going to Wright State in Dayton OH. The author will be there tomorrow to read passages from the book during the orientation weekend.
