I rented a few movies this weekend, one was Solaris. I violated one of my rules which is not to patronize actors whom I find way out on the fringes... And George Cluney (sp) is one of those.

This movie was one of the worst movies I have EVER seen! Or I should say not seen. I had it on DVD and

So I skipped to the next chapter, more crap. Then the next, still more crap in a seemingly unending flow. Finally they were roling the ending credits.

If I can save someone else the 4.50 I spent to rent this worthless piece of bat guano, then it may not have been in vain...

I started to watch this on HBO. I think I got about 10min into it. That was enuff for me. X

When I went to see it at the theatre, I couldn't stay awake. I have no idea what the movie was about.

Ditto on the above opinions. Avoid this one at all costs! Solaris seems to relish in its pretensions of being deep, abstruse, and artsy a la David Lynch or 2001, but it fails completely and is simply too boring to tolerate. Too bad--the basic concept of the movie might have been interesting.

Gezzzzzzzzzzz Robby why didn't you rent it 2 weeks ago before I did that would have saved me the Money.. I thought it was about the biggest piece of guano I've seen for a long time myself...Really a sad piece of work....TinMan

Tin, I wish I would have. It would be a nice PSA if someone rents something that that is so heinous, so horrendous, that it's obvious no one else would enjoy it, if they would post so others may save their entertainment dollars... It would be a nice gesture going forward.

Yes I think that would be a good idea after some one like me who has to pinch pennys hates to waste good money on a crumby movie I don't rent them often but when I do and Get a bad one it really makes me mad. *S* I could have used that money on Gars. LOL..TinMan

I wish would have told me this before I made the mistake of buying it. I've actually watched this movie three times thinking I had to be missing something. But no, it's just long, drawn out, and takes forever to advance the plot.

To make a long story short(opposite of what Solaris did) you may be seeing this DVD upon the trade board soon. I figure I might be able to get a Bad Frog for it. But that may be overestimating its value.
