My company is without power (running on generators) and there are loads of schools closed.

I don't know where you are but here in SE PA I've been without power since about 1am today. 15 hours and counting.

We just had power back after 19 hours. Water still has to be boiled. But everybody is okay and we didn't suffer any damage. Lots of flood damage near the Potomac. Of course many other places in VA are tore up! I'm counting myself lucky!

We had some huge waves and a little rain. I'm glad that storm took a right turn just before the Bahamas. It was headed strait at Florida for quite a few days. We've only had 2 minor hurricanes hit since I've lived here.

People ask why all the houses look the same here in Florida, the reason is, you can only do so much with reinforced concrete block.

we were without power starting around 12:30 on Thursday. I took the family down do my mom's house for the weekend in central NC, but they sat we won't have power back 'til maybe Thursday. Boy, my yard was a disaster area. I cleaned up the front, but I am dreading cleaning the back. There are huge limbs all over my back yard.
