out here in the jersey pine barins you see alot of different creatures

Garden spider. In the southern Louisiana swamps, these things grow to the size of your fist. (no kidding!!)

I see these every year in my tomatoes. I move the web and pick away. Caught one last year and sent it to school with my 1st grader. Teacher sent it back - but she did pass it around the room.

Next time I catch a brown recluse I'll post it's picture.

Yep, I was catching them for a University project. Friend of mine got bit on the ankle and after one day he could not walk.

I've got a big a$$ spider that's made it's home on a couple of my hot pepper plants,he only comes out in the evenings but I'll try to get a picture.

SOBs!!!! I've walked right into a web with one fist-sized! They are harmless, but if you hate spiders....it will shrink the strongest man down to the size of a peanut. They are all over south LA.

When the cigar beetles get this big, it's time to put your puro's in a zip lock bag and put them in the freezer for a while. 😞 😞

At least then it is in the daylight. It's real fun to be in the woods before dawn and take one to the face. I can hear my brother scream 60 acres away when that happens.
