"The day soldiers stop bringing you their problems is the day you have stopped leading them. They have either lost confidence that you can help them or concluded that you don't care. Either case is a failure of leadership."
~ General Colin Powell ~
Chairman (Ret), Joint Chiefs of Staff

I have seen him speak in the past and he is awesome! As a speaker he has the ability to make people really want to listen. If you ever have the opportunity take it!

Despite the fact he's becoming a lackey for GWB, he's still a very bright man...

Communication breakdown!!

I said they were wise, did you not read that, I meant it. Then I followed it up with a statement that I'm saddened to see him becoming more of a GWB lackey, but he's still a good man.

How hard is it to read my statements as I type them and not read a bunch of **** into them???

"Despite the fact he's becoming a "lackey for GWB", he's still a very bright man"

From your Own Words... you tried to tear the thread down and also a statement made by Colen Powell himself by adding Lackey for GWB a Strike at two not just the One... thus I asked where you get your Facts
"Despite the fact" fact being the key word in your sentence to take the swing... and Lackey being the word used to try for the Home Run to drive it home...

Didn't work... he's not Lackey for GWB he may be Lackey for the Country the Man Loves... but not for one Man!!!!!

lackey

n 1: a male servant (especially a footman) [syn: flunky, flunkey] 2: a person who tries to please someone in order to gain a personal advantage [syn: sycophant, toady, crawler]

He's not an Al Gore!!!!!

read the last sentence of my last post again...

I separated the two thoughts for a reason, they were supposed to be separate!

The "despite the fact" was another separator, it was separating my opinion that he's becoming a GWB lackey, and the fact that he is a good, bright man.

now re-read the last sentence of my last post again...

I Read it Chris.. the way I would read a book, a Magazine article etc...it reads just how you intended it to read... it was a slam on the both and then softening the Blow to add he's a bright man...

It was not a slam on powell, it was more a statement of disappointment. You're in a bitchy mood today...

yea your right I ain't in a great mood...

Your statement of Disapointment has no relation to what a Great Man such as Colin Powell has to say... rather a reach by you to get another Jab at GWB and people who believe in the President and his Administration....

the Words above that he spoke was at the Graduating Class I Believe West Point.. All Officers heading out into the Military World to Command and Lead in some way... and What he said to them is Verbatum to how they should Lead People under them....

your word Lackey is a discredit on Powell and on GWB....
