Ok, with all the talk of such a prize worthy cigar being so near to me, I absolutely had to take up this deal. So I drove 1.5 hours with my best girl and found this store (easily, thanks mapquest) about 20 minutes before closing. Found what I wanted quickly, and got a bit worried when there were only 3 left in the box. When I was done looking, I asked if he had more. He cracked his last box, got 2 more for me, and 5 for my girl (10 total, yay!)... I thanked him for being kind and letting us both get the max, and asked him for a suggestion... I'd already picked up two Short Stories, and he suggested a AF Black label, I think No. 4 (which you see in the picture, to the left).
I celebrated my fortune with one of the Short Stories (it was my first, and now in my top 3 cigars).
So the store has 43 of their last box left. I plan to make another run on Saturday, but I doubt they'll have any left. They said they'd had people from all over call. Boston, Germany... ALL over. So they're going fast. He had them out for two days and had gone thru the box.
Anyway, thanks for giving me the heads up! These went to me for 4.50, by the way. I think the No. 4 was about 8 or 9, and the Short Story was in the middle.
