If you're anything like me, you've got some friends who enjoy cigars, but at a different level than you do. Over the years, they have enjoyed some of my finer smokes, only to recipricate with dried out turds when I visit them. Once I was even offered a Habana that was given to somebody, but was two months on their counter (gasp!). Well, this past Christmas I gifted to two of my closer friends a decent humidor and it has already paid off nicely. Not only do they keep their small stash in perfect 70/70 conditions, they also are much more likely to carry a decent stick on hand whenever I drop by. Now if only their wives could extend their appreciation in a manner which I shan't discuss here....

One additional thought: A well varnished high quality cigar box can make a decent humidor for essentially free. Perhaps these would make a good gift to the likes of my brother-in-law who insists on keeping his stash of el cheapos in the freezer! (needless to say, I bring my own when I visit his house...)
