The guy didn't do anything wrong. These writers and fans who are after this guy are fu*&ing idiots.

Did he leave a tired pitcher in the game? NO! Did he drop an easy double play ball? NO! Did he give up 8 runs in one inning? NO! All the guy did was to try to catch a foul ball that was in the stands.

I still don't believe that Alou would have caught the ball. Everyone assumes that he would have caught it and the game was over. Did Gonzolez catch the easy grounder? Alou's play was infinitely harder than that gimme.

I don't usually spout off, but this one really pisses me off.

Alou was on the news today and said he was sorry for getting on that fan as the ball was in the stands and the fan had just as much right to try and catch it as he had. I don't blame the fans as their first instinct is to catch a sovenier ball and besides look at where he was sitting not the best for veiwing but good for catching foul balls. JonR

That poor guy did nothing wrong. If Alou cathces it its gravy. It was a foul ball for criminy sakes! The press is so far out of hand these days they just dont have a clue anymore.

The guy cost the Cubs the game and maybe the series. He should be forcefully removed from Chicago and relocated somewhere like Green Bay. He should be stripped of his Chicago citizenship. He probably even talks bad about Ditka.

Don't get me wrong. I could care less about the Cubs or baseball but for the sake of the argument someone needs to take the opposing point of view!

This guy could make millions on the professional wrestling circuit, greeter at brothels and casinos, etc.

Those who think this guy 'cost the Cubs the game' or the Series just aren't well-connected to reality ... at worst, he MAYBE cost them ONE out and no run scored as a result of his actions ...

What cost the Cubs the game and the Series was their inability to make the defensive plays and score enough runs ... period.

In Chicago they are calling him "public enemy #1" this is so wrong. The media is at fault. Now this poor guy is probably gonna have to move away for his own safety.

There were 189 outs in the series, per side. This poor guy affected 1 out. How the hell could you blame him for the outcome of the series?
