You're exactly right, hog. Though I definitely agree that they dont deserve it, $3,400 is chump change compared to the absurd raises that the Senior Level managers give themselves at most large companies. The rest of us get squat.

I never want to be a Senator, but I wouldnt mind being a CEO, CIO, or other top-level manager one day. I wouldnt mind scratching my ass and picking up an obsene salary for doing nothing.

I think their salary, and compensation package, should reflect the average income of our great nation. Take all Americans, with their income, put them all together, divide the total income, by total number, of legal incomes, and there should be their salary benefits package. Then they would have the incentive to help increase the wealth of everyone in the nation. Not just the big contributors.

Why should they even get a paycheck? They represent us. They don't use Social Security, they have their own plan(which I wouldn't mind having!). Our founding fathers used the Senate and Congress to advance issues for common Americans. Most of them served and went back to the private sector. Now we have 400 year old senators and criminals that haven't ever seen the inside of a Target store!

Too many Americans out of work, and they want to give themselves a raise?!? Real good timing there. Real good leadership!
