When does the winning start?

I jumped on this cigar pool thinking it would be a lot of fun and I could rake in copious amounts of cigars while winning. I have to say... I'm getting my butt kicked... week after week. It's still fun, though.

Maybe I should start letting the dog make the picks.

Think about it. Your odds of winning are the same each and every week. About 1 in 40. Some fellows have double dipped. Alas! It would seem one can go all season without winning. But it sure does raise my level of interest in all the games. I hate the Giants!! I have not called a Giants game ever!

Last year it was Huskey raking in the smokes.

It seems this year that Billy, AKA smithbw, is gonna have a good year!

X... I don't like the Giants either, but I think I have picked them a couple of times. Same way with the Cowboys... don't like and rarely pick them, which has hurt because they are doing well this year.

What I mean is this: If I pick the Giants to win, they lose. If I pick them to lose, they win. Usually in a heartbreaking overtime. What team has won the most OT games in the last 2 years? It seems like the Giants to me. They are the pivotal game for me week after week. AND THEY ALWAYS RUIN THINGS FOR ME! I despise them.

My Eagles have cost me dearly this year...but am happy that i have 1 second place to show this year...was actually a tie for 1st...but oh well...

Will say this...this has been much cheaper then betting on line as i had done in the past...

Speaking of the football pool ....

For those of you who aren't participating, but have an interest in both the NFL games and in cigars ...

We've got a little weekly pool going ... a lot like office pools everywhere ... pick the winner in each game plus a score in the MNF game ... most correct picks wins, there's a second and third place prize ... the MNF socre is a tie-breaker if one is needed ...

Wager is one stick per week ... a good cigar you'd like to get yourself if you were the winner ... no dog rockets allowed, but not necessarily a super premium either ...

With 40+ guys in the pool, the prize is approx a box of smokes, second place is approx 2 five-packs and third place is approx one five-pack ... this varies somewhat from week to week, depending on whether everyone is available to play ...

As you can see from the threads, the participants like the pool, so if you want in, drop me a note ...
