I just spoke with Marla.

She is doing fair and would have posted herself but she can’t really sit at a computer.

She is still in some pain and in part due to a possible slipped disk during surgery that is causing some pain in her legs. For the most part she does not move around since that causes more pain. Fortunately she is on some good drugs. She is going to have an MRI as soon as she can schedule an appointment with a doctor.

Marla has not had a cigar in over a month and is consequently going thru withdrawal.

Another side effect of the surgery is that she is as horny as a teenager, but can’t do anything about it. So if anyone wants to charter a bus leaving from the east coast, picking up BOTL’s and heading toward Marla’s house to help take care of her needs let me know.

Ok...I had to 'check' in after talking with Rich...

He 'bout summed it up...

12/01/03 hysterectomy and right side ovary and tube removed. Woke up with numbness in both legs that continued for 3 days. Severe allergic reaction to Morphine...but was soon introduced to a pain killer called Tordahl (sp?)...good stuff, but realized that my left leg STILL had problems after 4 days... excruciating the moment the injections wore off.

Came home the night of the 4th...just couldn't think of spending another day or 2 in the hospital...

I've gone numerous times to my DC for adjustments, and have to now see a Neurologist...had the MRI today...

I'm not fairing well at the moment and haven't been able to keep up with y'all...but I've sure felt the support that has been sent my way...it's been a tremendous feeling just knowing that you care and that I'm in your prayers. I want you to know that I am thinking and missing you guys and that I hope all is well in cigarbid land. I don't know the scoop on anything since November...and don't anticipate popping in any time soon again...

I want to say a special thank you to TinMan for the BOMB...and to Steve, Lee and Rich for the calls...(Lee, hope you are feeling better and that the 'poker game' Monday went well...LOL!)
