To hope against hope that this is a false recovery and that the economy is not really coming back as hard and as fast as it is. To hope against hope that we flounder in Iraq. To pray that we don't find Osama in a spider hole like you said we would never get Sadam. To glower at the stock market on the rise. To seek to cast a pallor over America's future in the world as a super power. How sad, how very sad indeed. Conservatives aren't jumping for joy that these are the good ol days, but we're happy that things ARE getting better. We ARE winning battles in our war on terror. We ARE improving the economy. We ARE increasing home ownership. We ARE seeing an increase in jobs. Things are getting better and it just galls those would rather shove a tent spike though their ear than see Bush "re-elected".

We all know Robby's a bit of a firecracker. He's normally able to contain himself, to a degree, for the sake of this forum anyway. He's been under a bit of strain as of late so I think he deserves a bit of a break.

Fact is, he's right and his frustration is well founded. Though not entirely, the budget surplus was based largely on the unrealistic tech bubble. It's not fair for the liberals to credit Bill and criticize George for our economic trouble in the last few years.

Remember too, it does seem pretty clear that Bill had at least one opportunity to easily nab Bin Laden even after the first WTC attack, but let him slip through his fingers while he focused on keeping his ass out of a sling.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Clinton hater either. I just call 'em as I see 'em.
