Hey, I noticed one of your bids and that your from Edmonton. I'm also from Edmonton. Tell me what luck you've had bringing cigars across the border. Have you paid any duty and how much.

I recently sent a 'gift' of cigars to a friend in Canada, and this is what he told me to do. "When you send to Canada put 'gift', 'book', value - $10.00 on the custom form, that way I dont have to pay the 175% duty ... do not put cigars." I did this, and he got his package quickly, and with no problems whatsoever ... just a thought ...

i live in vancouver. it is not a 175% tax. it is 65% plus a 5 dollar handling fee.

Thanks fulcrum, I didn't know the exact amount. 65% still makes for cheaper than full retail in Edmonton, I always feel like I'm getting ripped off when I pay 15 bucks for a ciger that wasn't great.
